Welcome to the room of Third Grade Scholars that I have facilitated for the past two years.  Before joining the outstanding Truman staff, I had taught for 30 years motivating students in Title I Language Development classes,  first grade, second grade and Reading Recovery.  Additionally, I had also worked as a Home-School Coordinator.  My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Education from Stillman College, a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Illinois University and  Reading Recovery Teacher Certification.
It is so good that parents send us their very best child each day who shows responsibility, self discipline, courtesy, cooperation and respect.  We like to practice perfect school skills daily that will become permanent as we help children become life-long learners.
Finally, I believe as Larry Bell expressed -  "Somebody needs me... therefore I teach."
